These are feeds technically, but have been around for some time, I can get DAD-5 but i hear there are more. Theres a thread on digitalspy, but i figure there should be on here as well.11518H 3744 is the DAD 5 transponder. Does anyone else have the others and confirmation that they work? Thanks
 
what is the frequency for DAD 2 and what does it show? And what satellite is 16E? And the CBS frequency?
 
DAD-2 is on 11518 H 3744-7/8

CBS news feed is on Eutelsat W2 at 16.0°E 11190 H 5632-3/4
 
Do you mean just DAD-2 and 5 or are other frequencies activated early morning then shut off during the day?

Ive just checked every other transponder and still only listing DAD-2 and 5 for me.

Leave a tape running during the night.My VCR records 16E OK but on 15W it's a bit jumpy and out of synch as I have to set my sat receiver to PAL to tape and it should be set to NTSC. I think a DVD recorder can record NTSC. My VCR only handles PAL.
Feeds are a bit iffy,sometimes there's stuff there and others times nothing.
 
Ive been watching the dads for a couple of weeks now I know how it works :D

They are a gold mine for crazyness.
 
Dad2 and 5 are on at the moment, you may find skewing the LNB slightly on the boom arm will help. These feeds are low symbol rate and your receiver will need the best help it can.
 
On the DADS you sometimes see them picking their nose and putting on their makeup before they go on air. I wish that girl Campbell would stop chewing while she is being made up.
 
Hmm- I'm only getting 1 channel on 11518.
Is that right ??

me too, only DAD5 shows up, are´nt DAD 2 & 5 on the same transponder?
 
DAD-2 isnt active right now although it was on 11525 H 1500 7/8

I was wrong in my first post.
 
Peaking DAD2 at 11526 on the SS1 here. 58%s / 100%q
DAD5 a lot stronger at 89%s / 100%q

11525 H 1500 7/8 Nope you were right, DAD 2 is on that transponder, but theres a wierd problem, the signal is bouncing around like a scarlet woman. it took me 5 tries until i had a signal long anough to store it, why is that? All the other transponders are fine, and where are the other DAD´s? Do DAD 1/3/4 exist? If so, what transponder?
 
DAD-2 and 5 are the only ones active right now they appear when ever they feel like basically, I have a feeling there will be alot more soon as Torino starts just for the Today show which is live from Torino daily.

DAD-2 reports of it beeing weird for many people it isnt just you.
 
Good to know, have anyone ever seen anything except reporters and the today show on DAD5, you know, the MSNBC stuff? has it ever done the proper NBC channel, if only for a few hours?
 
On my old TV I couldn't get a great picture with NTSC feeds, they were pixellating and jerking all over the place, but on my Thomson Tv and setting my Technomate to NTSC I get a perfect picture.
DAD 2 usually has MSNBC.
DAD 5 sometimes has stuff on during the night, Dateline,Jay Leno, Conan,Carson Daly etc but if you want to record it you really need something that will handle NTSC.

16E has CBS with Dave Letterman and sometimes the start of Craig Ferguson. I think this is in PAL as it records fine on my VCR.
Yahoo Tv listings has Direct Tv and Dish if you want to check what's on. Remember if Jay Leno is on at 11.30 pm that's 4.30 here. Sometimes they switch the feed off right in the middle of a prog so you might set your recorder and still get nothing.

Its NBC primetime each night from 1am UK time ;)
