signal here with 2,40m or bigger
i read on the net
,the satellite is inclided orbit, how far is the moving then,of a inclinded satellite in one hour/day,i still searching the board, try to find out the scew, for my region, but satellite is not listed on _satlex.de

everyone who receive ,it please post the time, and also the time, when signal disapears, would be intresting,to find out, when signal disapears, and come back, depent on the destination!

after long time, adjust the dish,i found the board, signal very stable 47% dvb 2000/ clark tech and nearly 7,.8 db dreambox signal very stable, some branch of a tree are a little bit in the way, maybe when i remove tomorow i should get one db more signal!

scew angle here minus 11

According to n2yo.com the Thaicom2 inclination is currently 0.6 degrees.

Any official footprint?

It doesnt really mater what the footprints are - shes only been punted round to 50.5E to activate the second Thai orbital slot. 50.5E would have been withdrawn if they hadnt got a satellite on station before the expiry date.

I doubt there will be any serious transmissions off Thaicom2 a few tests maybe - shes only got a couple of years left anyway - and was obviously withdrawn from 78E due to the inclination increasing.

(Although it would be nice if folks in Europe got a chance to watch some Thai telly via C-band) :D

can u indicate on what type of C-Band noise temperature you use in thailand or in austria? i'm currently here in mid east and i'm using 15K or 17K but it's hard to get the signal quality but the signal strength is ok....pls include also the exact lnb skew angle.

thank's and more power....

Hello!

thanks for your reply,i using a imported 12 Degree Kelvin Lnb,/on my 3 meter channel master dish, with seavey feed lnb made from Gardiner Usa,imported from Brazil, around 5 year ago, tested also against the norsat, and i see no diffrents in the signal strewnth and quality, gardiner, out of production since 10 years!

i watch signal all the time, because of inlude it go up and down between 50-30% then i got artefacts, and have correct the elevation, with the motor controll, you never no where the satellite is at the moment, withouth elevation motor its imposible to track!

will tell you which part of the wobble the bird is at. At time of posting its about as far north/up as she can go.

How did you manage to put 2 lnbs for 2 sats with 1.5 degrees separation on a 1.5 m dish. I was not able to get Thaicom5 and Apstar together (78.5E/76.5E) on my 2.4m dish

yes i already got the azi and ele in my location thru n2yo.com and i'm sure i already catch the bird but no lucky using 15K and 17K c-band lnb, i know the bird is only here at the top of my location in mid east and near african region but not sure the beaming, as of now i'm looking a lower noise temperature C-band lnb like 12 or 13K and hopefully to catch 50.5E w/out any official footprint.

The footprint will probably be similar to the one from 78E but maybe shifted westwards a little. Thaicom 2 is an old bird and theres not going to be any modern beam shaping technology on board

yeah...your rigth is maybe probably be similar in the previouse footprint but maybe a lil bit change, nway lets wait and see.....

got confirmed in the meantime, that the signal on 50.5 east after symbolrate change,is stronger, then it was before on 78,5 east,on the old freqency!
was much bigger dish needed!
