Interesting fact. Whilst researching the L&H film I discovered that they released a film called Duck Soup in 1927, six years before the (arguably better known) Marx Brothers Film also called Duck Soup.

Yes, I came across the same thing, though I can't say I know anything about either. I worked with someone at BT who was a member of the L&H appreciation society and I'm sure would have waxed lyrical about Duck Soup...though I prefer my version, Duck!!...Soup!!...

There was, quite some years ago, a season (probably on BBC2) of Marx Brothers films and I made sure that I watched as many as possible. I did get to watch Duck Soup (as well as earlier quiz answer A Night At The Opera) during that time. Happy days.
