My Satellite Setup
28e, 19e
My Location
Bergen, Norway \ Alpes Maritimes, France
Am lucky to have this south facing wall, with clear line of sight towards everything I want from the sky. Getting crowded over time! 19e, 9e & 5w dishes will go, to be replaced by the T90. The 28e 125 may be replaced with a 150\180, waiting to see how it all settles down after 2G is in action. Nice hobby this! & yes, will fix the garden plants... someday.

I like the 90cm prime focus dish. Where is that from? Must be quite old?
 
Let me add how happy I am to have them all at ground level\standing height (snow\adjustments), with the tv in view + receiver remote working trough window if needed!

Reception area goes clear (the photo angle makes the overhang look larger), but am maybe missing something regarding possible impact. The 3 small dishes are anyway temporary, will get the T90 up one day.

A related question, any loss or gain by painting (spray) the white 125 in a dark color (to match house) ? Thanks.
 
I've sprayed mine twice now, no loss in signal noted, if you look closely/scratch the rim on a new 1.8 channel master you will see it has a coat of paint, I am unsure what paint is used, I use car spray/spray for metal work.
 
...going mad :O) Now got two T90's (inexpensive sh, could not say no!). One of them is to replace 19e, 9e, 5w and add a few more sats while at it. The other one, maybe for my cottage, or will stay in the garage for 12 years or so :O)

Not fair, I would love one of those but not really got the space in Finland or continuous coverage of the arc from a single location in the UK.
 
^^^ Yes, probably lucky here, got a wide open south view, + a wall, and no restrictions as to what I put on that wall (and am now divorced, that helps a lot! :O)
On the other hand, if there'd be a big mountain or buildings right in front, all of this would have been avoided :rolleyes:
 
Tonight, a miracle, finally overcame all fear of failures, pains and troubles, got around to 'walling' my Wave t90 which had been gathering dust for 6 months. And second miracle: even managed to find a sat, 4.9e

Happy that's it at standing height. Now the real work starts, will probably ask many lame questions. Main goal is realistic and should go well, 5w, 9e, 13e, 19e. Then over time add a few extras here and there.

^^^ felt unsurmontable pressure to go out in the rain with a flashlight in the middle of last night to try to get something out of it. Success with 5W, 9E, 19E, up and running with good values, and found many more sats available. Much better \ faster results than expected, some beginners luck. Looks like one can have much fun with this kind of dish. Now let it settle and do cabling\switches etc later.
