I wasn't sure where to put this post but here goes.
I have a couple of Daewoo DS608s which were absolutely brilliant in operation before prompted for a channel search. :-Nooo
I used to use them on installs owing to the 'analyser' menu which was quicker for the customer to acknowledge than the meter when it came to suggesting a new aerial was in order.
The technical side of the issue

And a good description of what happened in many homes last year

Now they might as well be consigned to the bin as no information seems to exist on a full factory reset beyond the software and back panel button. On both machines, giving them an intermittent jump from the mains does bring back the OSG and signal reading within the 'preference' menu, but this is lost as soon as the 'cancel' button is pressed (starting the Easytune setup, at the root of the tuner/modulator lockup)
Does anyone here know of any trick to give them some life again, if only to use the signal meter part ?
