A "Q-car" is much better than "something" with "sport stripes" , wide wheels but SFA under the bonnet, or even something that actually does have "that something" because "everybody" (-else, that is!) " expects it to be able to go quicker than whatever is sitting next to it at "the lights", and get around the next "tricky" corner before anyone else - and then they get a "surprise!
On the latter point, in the 1970's, the boyfriend of a now dear-departed very old friend's daughter had a "sit up and beg" Ford Pop, but with something quite potent under that tall bonnet and very well-sorted suspension, and a guy in some sort of Alfa found that out to his cost when he landed in a field at a bend, but the Pop did not!
