Oh dear o dear. No wonder people in UK are being controlled. People need to wake up and realise politics = life. Everything in life is controlled by politics, tax, the price of petrol, pub opening hours, your GP, hospital, defence, police, what you can watch on your tv etc etc etc.
I still think voting should be compulsory as the biggest moaners about things that I have met don´t vote, they have a chance every 4/5 years to do something - but would rather not and just moan, but I think politics should be taught in schools, so there is an educated electorate (might need more than one teacher to ensure there is no bias).
Don´t forget only 22% of those eligible to vote, voted for this government (and looking at this video many probably did by mistake), its not good. I have been a Presiding Officer in Local elections. I remember one year near the end of the day, the turnout was so bad, I looked on the register and noted that if the eligible people who lived down the road where the Poll booth was and hadn´t voted, could be bothered to turn off their tellies and walk to the Poll booth to cast their vote, it would have DOUBLED, yes doubled my turnout (in the end I think turnout was 6%

). I thought of those people in Iraq who risked their lives to vote, yet many people in uk (and in this case in this area the majority) couldn't be bothered. I find it very sad, I saw voting as a prviledge and used my vote wisely, sometimes agonising over my vote, like once where I had an excellent MP, but I disliked their party, others thought the same as after he was re elected, he said many people came up to him and said we voted for you, not your party. I will stop now as rambling.
I liked the girl who thought the war was being waged in Canada and the two girls who didn´t know who their mp was, but were still going to vote for him/her.
