Third receiver loses power when connected to Quad LNB

Hi all, thought this was a strange one and need your help??
I have connected a new Ross satellite receiver to and existing sky Quad LNB system which already has two receivers fed from it. The problem is when I switch on power to the new Ross receiver, it will only power up if the LNB feed cable is disconnected. Any ideas?
 
Could be a short in the cable, unplug one of your existing receivers, and connect your new box to its feed.
 
Thanks Robbo, just tried it out and yes you were right. I will have to wait until morning to get new connections and find where the break in the cable is.
 
Check both F connections for shorts and along the line to see for joins [the latter if existing cable run].
 
Check f connectors inside and make sure outer braid is not shorting with inner core
