A customer phoned me with this fault today, the box was showing a blue screen fault with no menus banners or messages. He had been on to Sky and gone through the standard series of actions to try and recover it, but the blue screen remained.
As there was nothing to lose, I advised him to give forced update a go, not really sure whether it would work as the box didn't appear to boot properly.
Well it did, he is now back up and viewing, was quite surprised.
