A little more power and tp DVB-S can they catch/fish.

Luxembourg media group UPC DTH capacity ordered by Norwegian satellite operator TSBc (Telenor Satellite Broadcasting) satellite Thor 7, which was a week ago, put into commercial operation at the position of 0.8 ° W for the expansion of services platforms Freese (Czech Republic, Slovakia) UPC Direct (Hungary) and Focus Sat (Romania).
Over the last five years, UPC DTH exhibits consistent growth, the number of subscribers increased by more than 50 percent, and provides services to nearly 800,000 households and offers over 100 television channels, including HD channels.
Thor 7 has 11 Ku-band transponders for Central and Eastern Europe. The other 10 transponders will be as a backup for Thor 5 and Thor 6 .

It's now more clear why decent reception across most of the UK and Ireland is possible with the 40dBW limit included.

Seems that we are very lucky here in the East of England in the 45 dBW zone 85-105 cm dish
West of London & Ireland is in the 40 dBW zone 150-190 cm

I've just noticed a little spot over Cyprus too!

I'd say a most of the country is in the 42-44dBW zone. Certainly in Buckinghamshire it's coming in very nicely on a 1.2m. North west Scotland doesn't seem to be doing so well out of this though.

It's booming in on the 1.5m. I'd say a good 1m dish is enough here in Somerset.
