Does anyone know if its possible to get 1 west up in rainy lancashire, seeing as i aint getting nowt on 13e, 19e or 30w at the minute...

I have a Skystar2, an 80cm dish and an 0.6db lnb...

cheers

Should be fine up there with your equipment, can get it with an 80cm easily down South.

cheers, dint wanna spend hours messing and discover i'm wastin my time...

It's really better with a 1m dish up here. 80cm is a bit marginal unless you've got a well matched setup.

i'm really struggling ere, anyone got any tips for finding 1w manually, i can find 13e, 19e or 30w within about 5 mins...

Bear in mind that 1W is at a higher elevation than the others, you also need to make sure tha you are searching on atransponder that you can see.

done that, i'm elevated to 29 degrees now... still nothing...

this maybe a dumb question but does the rain and cloud make a diffenrence?

whats a good stong transponder, im currently trying on 11216v

Yes, that should be OK, as long as you have the symbol rate at 24,500.

cheers, i think a bit of fine tuning and lot of patience is needed...
