Threads forgetting i have read them when logged in

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with the site when logged in, it doesn't seem to remember if I have read a thread before and jump to the latest post, this is not all threads; just ones I know for sure I have read before just not for a while.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
 
No, what is the system you are using to access the site?
 
Is this using the same device (phone? laptop? tablet?) or hopping between devices?
 
Chrome on my phone, I use this 95% of the time. It's been happening for a while, just wondering if others had the same, I will continue to monitor.
 
Can only speak for my own use and I have not had this problem on either my laptop (Win 8.1, IE11) or my phone (Android Chrome). TBF most of my use is on the laptop though.
 
I only log in using my beloved desktop comp at home but I havent seen any odd behavour. Try clearing cookies then the cache & see if that improves things.
 
No issues for me on my laptop, do not use my phone though
 
Are you logged on when you visit threads? If not, such as your session timing our or cookies going AWOL, then this will be the reason.

What I was just going to ask about as well. You titled the query "when logged in" implying you are sometimes logged out. I never log out and really don't see any reason to do so.

I always logout as my understanding of HTML and cookies means that you are leaving an open channel to the forum even if your browser is closed if you do not logout, thus leaving the forum succeptible to attack however we have been through so many iterations of software and web software has changed so much that this may not now be the case, but I will still do it.

Ditto. No reason at all.
 
AFAIK I'm always logged in unless I'm forceably logged out by the site. I will continue to monitor.
