Apologies I did not wish to confuse anyone I was referring to the fact that the Israelis pioneered the first smart card systems used in analogue satellite tv systems. I was not referring to any specific flavour of encrytion. Viaccess 2.5 is patented by France Telecom. I will endevour to post with more clarity in future.

I remeber there was some years ago a big thing with of the Israeli cardcompanies cracking one of them French encryptions and posting them on the net. So first they invent it, then they crack it, and in the end they invent a new one that is too expensive
