Advice Needed Tm-2600m3

My Satellite Setup
DM 8000HD; 1.1M dish; Technomate TM2600M3; Quad 4 Way STARCOM Satellite LNB; OpenPli 4.0

Hi,

I am configuring my (new) TM-2600M3 to work with my DREAMBOX (enigma based) 8000hd (openPli)

I have the following config pages (attached). Can anyone please advise what for the TM-2600M3, what the following settings should be for configuring the motor:
  • Power threshold in mA? (can someone please explain what this actually refers to, and typical default values - info appears very sparce)
  • Horizontal Turning Speed (deg/sec)? (I think this is 2.5)
  • Vertical Turning Speed (deg/sec)? (I think this is 1.9)
  • Turning Step Size (Deg)?
I cant find this info in the manual or online and don't want to brick the motor.

Please help!

You don't usually need the extra motor settings.
Also you shouldn't need to use the advanced settings, as your motor is basic, and can use USALS, to set up your motor.
Try using the simple setup option, using USALS, and ignore Diseqc 1.2, which is mainly used for 36v motors and a V-Box II configuration.
 
Hi, Just set up the same motor but witn Technomate Receiver 5402 M3 on Saturday
If your Dreambox can output power throught the coaxial cable you need one coaxial cable out to the motor then onto the LNB I think the power needs to be 13 -18v. In settings make sure motor power is turn on, not sure of dreambox settings.
 
use all the defaults in engima 2 just choose basic/simple configuration then positioner.

I would assume, but I don't know anything specific about it, that current threshold and Hor/Vert speed has to do with supplying 18 volt motor power, even when a vertical transponder is chosen.
I read that some receivers have software to do that; I guess this is it.
Maybe it even manages powering down, when the object position is almost reached?
Current threshold, I guess, would be current for LNB and motor electronics, without the actual motor power? (To be able to identify the extra motor current.)
But I'm just assuming all this.

Turning step would be the amount of motor movement, I guess, when you give the command "step to the left/right". That can be chosen 'rough' or 'fine'. In one of my receivers I could chose something like 1/2/3/5 steps, for the command.
USALS uses steps of 1/16 of a degree, if I'm not mistaken.

In my very limited experience with the TM5403 M3, the DiSEqc 1.2 "Fine" steps are rather smaller than when that Rx (and the SX88+) is set to use USALS (AKA "DiSEqC 1.3"), and I can thus "peak" the signals to be a "little bit" higher - though whether that makes an actual difference to the Signal Quality (SQ) is debateable.
