My Satellite Setup
Prime focus 120cm al. dish, V2-box/actuator and quad Invacom LNB.(28,2E--15 satellites--40,5W). IPbox 9000HD.
My Location
Norway
The TM 5402 M3 CL Super + can record either 2 or 3 channels on the same transponder and playback a file at the same time via USB (and with 3D or not).

Is this different boxes(hardware), or is it only different software?
 
You can use a USB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to record all your favourite channels, listen to your music and watch a slideshow of your photos. What’s more, you can record up to 2 channels (on the same transponder) whilst watching a file from your USB HDD or watching another channel on the same transponder. You can even watch the .avi and .mkv file formats.

Why I did ask?--- I have bought a new TM 5402 M3 "the latest model", but as I opened the box
, it can only manage to record two(2) channels at the time and no 3D.

If it's "only" the software that's the difference, i feel quite happy. If not, I will return box to the UK and wait for a later TM- model.

I would appresate an explanation on the matter regards the "difference".
