Tm1500+ Cas3, Cam?

My Satellite Setup
Technomate1500+ (FW 1.85),
CAS3 (1x Funcard 6),
no CAM module yet, USB to serial (used for 1 to 1 serial cable),
Hotbird (13 east) & Astra (19.2 east)
My Location
Ireland
Hi all,

i need some advise. I have the Technomate 1500+ and now a new CAS3 with a FUNCARD 6. I read somewhere that i need to have a CAM programmed with the 6in1 to be able to use the 6in1 programmed FUNCARD 6 to view any channel.

1. Is this correct?
2. What CAM do i need to buy (i gues the X-CAM Premium should be OK)?
3. Does the 6in1 also decypt the MCT channels?

Welcome to the forum JoeBlk

Why are you bothering with cams etc there is a patch available for your stb that will do all that without blinking... save your money!
 
Thank you for your replay.

I was thinking that i have already the patch (patched firmware 1.61 from Laurals website) on my TM1500+.

I am not sure what "stb" means, but i gues it's another word/name for receiver.

I will try to find this patch, did not know that there are any other patches out there. Any information or advise is welcome.

I only find the Laurals (seems to be a patched one, 1.61) and Technomate firmware (1.51). Can you tell me where i can find the patch for my stb which you mention?

I have been led to believe that Darkmans will be required from the Alsat site

If i remember it's alread the DarkMan-Firmware. Maybe the firmware has a bug or the cypt is to new. I give up, i think the only solution is to get an X-CAM & re-programm it with the 6in1 firmware.
