Hi...

I am a toroidal newbie, but I have searched and googled. I am located in Denmark, and I have just bought a Force Frontier T-55. I just want to know, if I can setup the dish to receive 1W, 7E, 13E and 28E? If I also want to install a fifth LNB, can I also get 4.8E? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Read the set up instructions and follow them exactly.

It is essential to get the pole vertical to maximize the signal from all the satellites.

You will need to buy extra LNB holders to put more LNBs on the rail, they should be €4-5 each.

What diseqc switch are you using? It is usually easiest to use a diseqc 1.2 switch - the receiver thinks it is telling a motor to move. There are 8, 12 and 16 input versions, made by Spaun, EMP Centauri and Vantage.

The Maximum T85 is more popular on the continent than the T55 these days!

The back mount tilt unit has adjustment for complete reflector/LNB skew, so this isn't necessary.
 
With your professional signal meter and experience you would find it easy.

The instructions for the Wave Frontier and the Maximum T85 say to start with a vertical pole. The tilt on the back is then adjusted according to the calculations from Satlex, eg tilt the antenna 0.68° East to 90.68° on the scale on the back of the dish. With the elevation set, swinging around will find the first satellite easily.

Otherwise the beginner is likely to get into a muddle and find it hard to compensate, like the confusion between motor latitude and elevation scales on another thread. The experience would be much more protracted and painful.

I use a teatowel and a simple inline meter on far more jobs. Saves putting the expensive stuff in the van.
 
And with the amount of dodgy people roaming the streets in some places, it is possibly safer leaving the expensive gear at home.
