Toroidal T90 or Maximum T85 ?

Fano the 1 meter will be fine mate with those sat's with 16E as the focal LNB, I setup 13E,16E,19E, & 28E on a Technomate 1 meter solid dish with Metronic multi LNB brackets & Inverto Black Ultra singles, I would love the same setup but I would add 9E,1W,5w, & on the other side 23E,39E & I think you'd get away with 42E aswell. Wife would go mental though!:D

Look at the first pic thats a TD88! Love it!

Nice multifeeds Ghostleader! I think they lacking only possibility for each separate LNB to be adjusted independently (however, maybe it is not so necessary in some cases).

Middle ones mine, 5W to 28E on a 80cm dish, Not bad eh?

the T90 may have to wait, [...] looks like its the T85 or a 1m Gib.
T90 would definitely be the best option. The 1m Gib will out perform it for a few degrees around the central satellite, but across the range the T90 will be king. T85 not my cup of tea. It's not possible to properly correct a dish for multi-sat without a secondary reflector.

Do you get any rain problems with the Inverto multi-connect lnb? I read elsewhere on this forum that they are no good when they get wet.

Yes I find these reports to be very much true, i.e. the 23mm Inverto is pish!!, I only used it as it was the only LNB I had spare mate.

Thanks, will have to steer clear of those then.

Thanks for all the replies guys, food for thought.

Blimey, you live in Ireland, when the wind blows doesn't an arm with one LNB on wobble LOL?
Lol,people dont know the meaning of the word wind unless they come to Ireland.
We are lucky to get 10 days a year without wind.
I often thought about putting up my own wind turbine out the back :)
Motorised dishes arent really suited to our climate I'm afraid.
I used to work in the US for a few years ,almost no wind there all year round.

How do your wife knows that T90 is bigger than T85 or Gib 1m? Tell her that T90 performs worser than 1m Gibertini. Maybe she agrees to have T90.
I foolishly showed her a picture of someone elses setup and she went mad.
"Thats not going up on my house":-ohcrap
T90 would definitely be the best option.
Its mine too but its too impractical.
I had my Gibertini on the Easterly wall to shelter it from the winds and hide it from view.
Because the T90 sits on top of a pole instead of attaching to the middle ,means its unsuitable to go on that wall.It would be up too high.
1m Gibertini or T85 will sit on the existing T brackets and pole .
T90 would have to go on south wall ,meaning new Tk brackets have to be put on the dashed wall which is unacceptable to the missus.
Its also pretty exposed there .

They wouldnt be of much use in Ireland so

So the 1m Gib will outperform the T85 ,28e to 1w ?

There may be hope yet for the T90 !
I cut out a cardboard dish tonight the same dimensions as the T90 and its not as big as I thought.
I also cut out a T85 from cardboard ,its actually not much larger than a zone 2 mini dish ,20cm wider,10cm higher.

I could wall mount the T90 on TK brackets .
Would I have to remove all the dash from the wall under the surface of the bracket or could I just leave the dash on and tighten the brackets over it ?
It would be very handy if I could leave the dash on .

It depends how lumpy the dash is. I normally hold the bracket up and see if will sit nicely, if not knock off any bits that prevent it from doing so. Then do the wall anchors nice and tight.

Thanks Robbo,
The dash isnt too lumpy ,I can knock off the big bits as you recommended.
I think the T90 might be a runner now.

Does she know about the secondary reflector yet?

Ahem,no .:)
What she wont know wont worry her is a very important lesson I have learnt when dealing with women.
Once its up it will be too late to block with red tape.

Very true, but in saying that if I stuck up a TD90 the wife would moan me to death! lol

True but she may come round. Then again she may not :-ohcrap
It took me 3 years of badgering to get the 1m Gib up .
Initially when in a bad mood she'd threaten to pull it down, lol, how she was going to get up to it I have no idea but I had a good laugh anyway.
If I were to get the T90 it would be mounted alot lower so much easier for sabotage.:D

Looks like the Gibertini multifeed option may have hit a snag.
Any of the bars I have seen for it are very straight and horizontal , not angled like the Triax bar, which could make lnb alignment very difficult.

I have made wooden (actually waterproof plywood) multifeed another day. Not very easy to adjust LNBs, but possible. Costs almost nothing and takes 20 minutes to make. Will see how long it stays till breaks apart.

How many feeds from each sat are you looking for buddy, if its just single feeds from the main focus LNB I might be able to help you out with a suitable bracket that doesnt suck ass like the Triax TD one, etc.

Thanks Ghostleader, its single feeds from the vast majority of the lnbs and a quad for 28e.

All this potential diy and modification/limitations of potential dishes is driving me towards the bloody T90 :)
