ok. newbie, as you know already, this isn't specifically a "where is Ch4 question" so bear with me. Its not the content i`m interested in but the reasons and methods. I understand 4 satellites "feed" the Sky EPG. In Cyprus some channels come in nicely, some don't. The dish can be tweaked so slightly to focus more on one sat than another to increase reception from that satellite. My question is that it is obviously not as clear as if you "get" the sat in question you get all the channels clearly. Those channels coming from the same satellite and beam, eg Astra 2A North Beam, i can get Sky Three nearly all day, but Channel 4 is a no. Five i can get, LifeTV i can't. Both on 2B North So why is that ? Sky Three and Channel 4 are on transponder 24 and 27 respectively with frequency 12.168 and 12.2265 respectively, so is the Polarization purely to blame? If so, why ? Or do different transponders/frequencies have different strength on transmission ?ie the controller can increase/decrease the power of a transponder ? I have searched the forum for a quick answer but couldn't find one. Cheers G
