Trying to record on USB drive

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox DM800 HD PVR

PC: Intel Pentium D 3.4GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
Radeon X1600 Graphics Card
My Location
Malta
Hi,

I'm trying to record a program on an empty 8GB USB pen drive (i'm doing this just for fun)

However, accordin to the manual, I should first press the red options button, but when i do so, a dialog box appears stating that i need to remove stuff since i have <100MB

How can i please eliminate this problem? thanks alot for any help!

P.S: I'm a newbie so please bear with me on this one :)
 
Not 100% sure but I think you will have to format the drive using Linux as it will probably be formatted for NTFS which Linux will not recognise
 
Oh i see!

So does that mean i can format the drive on the dreambox itself? (Thats the only linux device i have)
 
I would have thought so as it would not be very functional it it did not allow you to format drives. There will be a menu somewhere
 
put this image Dream Elite BH 1.3 OE1.6 DM800 Multiboot Usb on flash wich has a plugin called meoboot; run meoboot wich will format your usb and then install an image of your choice. you can even install the same image in multiboot.
meoboot help will show you how to install the images.
