TurkSat 4A is testing @ 50 east

Turksat 4A will be operated at first at 50 degrees east longitude before being moved to its permanent slot at 42 degrees east in a few months time.

I remember seeing Anatolia 1 testing at 50E about 10 years ago The region was shut down for nearly a week due to very heavy snowfalls so I used the time to do some satellite dxing using the 60cm dish

There are no test carrier of Turksat 4A ...
11644 H comes from near Eutelsat 48D/Afghansat 1 and 11708 H from Galaxy 26.

No need for a mount - I just propped the dish up in two feet of snow

I am only getting 12303 V 27500 here at the moment, strong signal on my 1.2, I am sure the 1mtr will catch it.

I don't get a sniff at 12246, but 12303 comes in very strong, maybe two different beam's, are you are near both footprints ?.
