Tutorial :- CCcam Card Sharing

Thanks Compufunk, right on the money /var/etc/CCcam.cfg is missing. What's the clean way to reinstall it?
i looked at a back-up I don't see it there either.
Sorry but i don't know how to start a new thread, i'm not sure i have the rights for it.

The easiest way would be to download CCcam Complete from the blue panel. I'm not sure whether this includes CCcam.cfg. If not you can download it seperately from the blue panel.

You can do this in most of the popular images.

CCcam 2.0.11/NewCS 1.65
still no green icon on channel info.

What image are you using. I think you need to download the config seperately with Gemini Images. Have not used one for a bit now but from memory I dont think it has a complete download

here's what my root@dreambox:~> dir says:

Can anyone help with that? I' ll worship.

You are looking in the wrong place.

do the following.

ls -lA /etc | grep CCcam

or

ls -lA /var/etc | grep CCcam

Do you have a card, are you using keys or are you card sharing?

on a number a receivers the cccam.cfg is at /etc and not /var/etc

and most probably yours is there!!

Yeah right, mine is at etc/
it seems it's dropbear
sounds familiar?
it has a bunch of cams:
and CCcam 2.09 is there,
that's what i used before.
What should I do now ?
replace config?

Sorry yusat, but the information you are giving is too vague. Nobody can help you until you give us more information. For example.........

Do you have a card, are you using keys or are you card sharing?

Also, why are you running CCcam/NewCS instead of CCcam on its own? We don't even know what image you are running.

This conversation is too long winded and should probably be in another thread!

PS:

On any image I've seen. /etc and /var/etc are the same thing. /var/etc is just symlink to /etc. Not a real directory, so any one of the two would be correct and point to the same place.

bad news got the new white sly card ,i can only get it to work on cccam and newcs but glitches every 5 seconds has anybody got any info on them

you're right Compufunk here is more details:
i use gemini in a dm 500
and card share.
It just seem the box does not pick up the image.
all fta channels work fine.

Im new to cccam cardsharing and I would like to know how it works! I have the tutorial which I have been through. Unfortunatelly I don't have any equipment or any previous knowledge regarding the issue! Only what a friend has briefly told me. I would appreciate if you can tell me what equipment, oth hardware and software, I would need to start cardsharing. Currently I am thinking of sharing with my 2 cousins who also liked the idea of satellite tv...

I have DM7000 and DM7000-S with Viasat and CS and it's working great in our home.

Now I have bought a DM8000 as I want to use as a server.
I'm using Gemini2 430 on this.

Is it possible to use the old script from DM7000 and put them in the same folder tuxbox/config/newcamd as I have on DM7000 or do I have to do something else?

Do I have to put in boxid ?

Do I need to buy a dreambox as a server or is it possible to use s*y box as a server to other DM box?

If yes to first which is the best DM model that I can use as a server and what are the follow on procedure to set the DMs box up for sharing?

Yes you will need a Dreambox or similar to work as a Server. DM500 and CCcam installed. You will then need another Dreambox for each room.

i am new t this i have tried using the cccam info and still cannot get it to work i need to no if i have to do anything with remote control i have put f line in using a dns server and also put cline i other box just not work any one give me a simple step by step set up ie using coputer and remote control i have a technomate 600 please heeeeeeeeeeeeelp

can any 1 help setting up technomate 600 step by step guide how to share i have tried the info in download just wont work got dns addy put cline in other box f line in mine just wont work do i have to se remote also
