ezeo, your right mate. If you want to connect to a server just add the Cline they give you to your CCcam.cfg file. You don't need to do anything else.
 
How can I share my DB DM500S with my friends! Anybody can helpme with any
Tutorial?

Try unzipping it with winrar first
 
Is the C line that you send out the same all the time or does this change for each person e.g.

example 1:
any.no-ip.biz 12000 abc1 100 no

then if you send to some one else it could be

Example 2:
any.no-ip.com 12000 abc2 101 no

and so on?

If the shares reply it would go into the cfg file as follows

Example 1:
F: abc1 100
C: (the c line that the share sent to you)

then

Example 2:
F: abc2 101
C: (the c line that the share sent to you)

Any help to finally get me to understand the c and f lines would be greatly appreciated.
 
You got it mate. Thats exactly how you do it.
You create an FLine for each person and send them the corresponding CLine.

thanks for your help and support, can you kindly inform me how to set up a server for dreambox card sharing, also if you know of any software to make dreambox 500s see and record channels that he see

here is my config file, can anyone tell me why this wont work? I can telnet other peeps servers but how do i view there channels? do i need to rescan something? i am running cccam 209 and i have a dreambox 500:

You can check your CCCam operation by pointing a web browser at your dreambox IP on port 16001.

e.g. If your dreambox IP address is 192.168.0.25 use this

http://192.168.0.25:16001 in your favourite browser.

you can then see how many clients and servers are connected and how many shares you receive from friends.

If you dont see servers connected with shares you can do this.

Telnet to the dreambox IP address, stop the CCCam service, either with blue button or by doing a killall CCCam_2.0.9 command.

Then run CCCcam from the command line with the -dv switch, e.g.

CCCam_2.0.9 -dv

this will output to the console all commands and responses and you can see if it connects and if not what the problem is.

Press Ctrl-c to stop CCCam debugging and then start it normally from the Blue Button.

Once you see that you are receiving cards all you need to do is put the dreambox on the channel you want and CCCam will attempt to find the required keys, you can see this in the CCCam web interface or from the command line.

These are your Friends- they share your card.

You Connect to this server and can see the channels that you're allowed to see.

CCcam Info plugin will show you this as well.

Ok mate, your F lines are wrong. They should read :-
F: dfca defefe 3 0 0 {0:0:2}
F: tyrhrt gregre 3 0 0 {0:0:2}

This will now allow these 2 friends to connect to you.

Your C line will be ok if you replace 'abcd' with a valid server IP address. Then the port that server is listening on needs to be 12300 , then username is 123 and password is fdgvrf
 
Further to B16MCC's tutorial, for anyone who is interested, I've attached some files that go into CCcam in a bit more detail.

I cant remember if I originally got them on this forum or not. Thought it would be worth posting them here anyway.

Wow you guys are great, I too
had my CCcam 2.09 quit on me
I did the 16001 test port and it
said 0 clients, I then telnet
CCcam 2.09 -dv and got these
infos:

read config: cannot open /var/etc/CCcam.cfg or not found
dvb api1 detected
create 2 cam device
readkeyfile: cannot open /var/keys/softcam.key or not found
" " " Autoroll.key "
static cw not found or bad
parsed 0 entries from /var/etc/CCcam.prio
readproviderfile:cannot open
no working cam devices, no need to start pmthandler
How can i fix that?
It just started out of the blue
worked fine yesterday(famous last words)

You probably should have started another thread.

Have you checked that /var/etc/CCcam.cfg exists?
If it does exist, check that it has the correct permissions, at the very least it should have -rw-r--r-- or 644.

I wouldn't worry about the other missing files if your not using keys e.g. if you've got a local card or are sharing.
