I would like to install a new ariel to the roof and was wondering if I could use CT(satelite) cable as I have a roll in the garage.

Yes, you can. Some TV aerials even have F-connectors on.

You ll find by doing this signal loss will be kept to a minimum,i always use best cable i can lay my hands on. Be careful on roof mate mighty slippy at this time of year:)
