Two cats, one English and one French.

One is called one two three and the other, that’s the French one, is called un deux trois.

The owners decide to have a competition to see which cat could swim the best. Both cats jump into the water,

The British cat called 1 2 3 starts swimming but un deux trois, cat cinq.
 
It's obvious what happened here: The French cat was nobbled by being force-fed with huit.
 
Perhaps it caught sept ascemia?
 
It obviously had a dose of mange tout.
 
I've had e neuf of this.....
 
Perhaps the French cat was too ill ..and was suffering from some dreadful feline Dix-ease ?
 
The french cat was hardly heaven-cent.
 
You've forgotten the feline of French/Dutch descent, Cat R Van Cat...
