Ukraine channels

Kingofsat lists over 40 FTA Ukraine channels,a wonderful bonanza!!
On4W mainly,4E (8to10)and even 2 on 13E
But...all of them only speak...Ukrainian!
I was wondering whether,following the present events,one of them would say something in German,English maybe?
Strange that none of them tries to talk to "the world"
Then ,for Slavophones,a lot to watch in all manners of mainstream TV.
A lot od old soviet films,as the Kiev studios were big in USSR days.

4.8E - currently live feeds of the Ukrainian President's emergency broadcast on many/all of the Ukrainian channels e.g. 11747/V/30000 - Also saw similar on 12 Kanal on 4W,

Live feed on Reuters News on 22W from cars stuck in the traffic jams in (presumably) Kiev
 
It seems that the "best" place to look for current Ukrainian is 4.8E - just saw a lot of what looked like Russian military movements on Belsat TV on 12306/H/25546
 
Belsat is, I think a channel from Poland for Bielorussian people...
difficult to know whether its attention has shifted to Ukraine for now

It does look like their focus has shifted firmly to Ukraine and the current announcers are both wearing Blue and Yellow ribbons - those are the Ukranian national colours.
 
Most Ukrainian channels are FTA now, showing news. A lot of simulcasts.
 
Ive moved this into a more suitable section. I wonder how long some of these channels will stay on air - the Russian forces are bound to go for the transmitters or take over studios early in an attack on any region.
 
1+1 International 4.8e FTA is rebroadcasting the main 1+1.

The networked news show has left the studio this evening & appears to be in an underground car park.....

This is being carried on about two thirds of the channels - some of the kids services are still doing their own thing & the shopping & god botherer services are still live

21.16 transmissions on many channels went off - the tp carriers dropped, but came back

Last night in amongst the chaos Donbass TV - from the seperatist far eastern region was showing Midsomer Murders(!) This evening they are carrying Ukrainia 24 from the free Ukraine territory the same as a couple of dozen other services. Which is rather odd, I would have thought they would be showing pro Russian coverage.
 
You have wrong conslusions. You cannot take that as a separatist channel just because of the name. Donbass is still treated a domestic region for Ukrainians and they transmit that channel specifically for the area.
 
The 5E downlinks are having problems again. I suspect the Russians are intermittently testing jamming Astra 4A. The symptoms are very similar to when the Iranians had a go at jamming the Farsi news channels on Hotbird a few years ago.
 
Sonce on 5e 12284 V 27500 is rebroadcasting CNN International
 
A few minutes ago I was watching some of the Ukranian channels on 4.8E on the lounge system, but, now, on the office system, none of those are now working (and, yes, that system is working on other sats) - so have the Russians jammed everything on 4.8E????

Edited: BTW. I meant to say that there's no sign even of carriers - would that mean that the sat itself has been knocked out??

can you tell us more? what are the symptoms? Do you have a screenshot to share with us maybe from crazyscan or a screenshot of spectrum waterfall? Is it only on 4,8 E? what about 4W?

Getting absolutely nothing in terms of SS/SQ on any channel (that I've got logged on the SX88) on that sat - nothing working that can do waterfalls here!

4.8E still working here,1 has Ukr President talking,another shows the Metro
kids channels own schedule

1+1 on4.8E shows "ictv" with white star on orange background on interviewer's mike
same as the picture @ dankargo
