Having a hard time finding a universal lnb. If I get a chance I will be installing another bud for the circular Atlantic sats with a wideband corotor. With this type of feed I will need seperate lnb's and most of the one's I see advertised on NA sites are all linear, no point in setting up this type of feed unless my ku lnb is universal as most sats are on this part of the arc. Here's a pic of the feed, which I've had several times, that I'll be using:

That's a Corotor (or a clone of one)

Check it has the 12GHz mark on the blue cap, otherwise you will have losses at the upper Ku band

I've had this Chaparral corotor on 2 seperate occasions, no clones involved. It really helped me on the circular Atlantic sats but I always had skew issues on the linear sats. This setup would be dedicated to the Atlantic birds exclusively. Unfortunately here in NA you can only find linear lnb's(11700-12200) and I figured that Europe would be the best place to look for one.

If I've read your posts wrong then ignore me but all the Atlantic Ku satellites we can see from this side are linear, there's very little circular Ku in Europe although Russia uses it a bit. Is it a C120 LNB for the Corotor, if so have a look at the Inverto Black Pro C120, I use one here and am quite happy with the performance, never compared it to anything else but it seems to pull in everything it should.

Circular is for the c band satellites but several ku require a universal linear lnb which I cannot find here in NA. The lnb you mention would not be able to be attached to the corotor. Here's a pic of what I had for ku on my previous feed like this:

What I should have done is crawled into the loft and dug out my Corotor! Now I see the Ku LNB it's obvious it isn't C120. Chaparells website makes mention of the wideband Corotor but they don't sell a suitable LNB! There's also some seriously misleading information about frequency usage in Europe. Unfortunately the one I've got on mine is unbadged apart from a serial number so I can't tell who made it or the frequency coverage.

That wouldn't work on Ku band ;)

Why do you need to use the corotor?

The corotor will be mainly used for circular c band satellites. I haven't had much success with inserting the plate with my lnbf and most of my sats are linear- quite difficult to insert and remove the plate for individual sats.

Why not have siamesed C-band LNBs, and a slightly offset LNB for Ku.

Or another way you could do it is is stack 3 LNBs vertically (2 C-band and 1 Ku) and use a mini actuator to move them up and down. This would keep them all at the same position from the point of view of your main actuator and would also allow you to track inclined satellites. For Ku use a Black Pro and a feed horn as mentioned above. RF cross-section of the 2 extra LNBs would be nothing on a big dish (on an 8 foot dish less than 0.5% of the whole dish face).

That's an idea but the wideband corotor will open all circular c band tp where my lnbf with the plate won't.

Ok, but there is not a universal LNB for that device.

You may have to make your own LNB by modding a Black Ultra along the lines of converting one for use on a C120 feedhorn.

The corotor has a bespoke fitting on it for Ku band reception, a variation of the WR75 flange.

The main purpose of the feed is for circular c band if universal ku was also doable then that would have been a bonus. There only a few tp that would require a linear universal lnb for ku, I'll just stick to the usual 11700-12200. Thanks for your help folks.
