Updating Matrix Reloaded for TPS

I've found a site that has some update for MR1.70, MR1.80 etc. I update the MR using my PMCIA slot and usually use a .upd file. This site only has .bin files. Can I use the .bin file instead? If not can I convert the .bin to .upd file?

Also what is the difference between the .bin (binary I assume) and the .upd file?

i downloaded my last file converter from toe cutters den so it might pay you to have a look in there reloaded section m8:)
