Think I've got one of those in the garage. It came with the s/h TD88 in the early 2000's, but I never used/tried it because I had changed to DiSEqC by the time I got back into sat stuff in around 2015 - could post (it's heavy!) at cost or you could collect (West London) which I would prefer, plus a very few quid (you know, for the storage! With a v-box you could use a Jaeger SMR99/ Geotrack Silent Gold
Which 1.2m dish requires an upwards pointing motor?
a Gibby 1.2 actually - and if I got one , its a clearance issue, it has to clear a kitchen extension roof....when dish goes to 30e onwards, the lnb gets close to ther roof tiles as it turns - im at the limit of the pole on the 3 T and Ks...

thanks, its long enough, traversing 3 t and k brackets...but yes, i could move the bottom bracket up a bit to be fair, and then raise the pole (scaffold pole). good shout.Be easier to change the pole to 1 a bit longer.

current dish TD110, and pole and motor are above the gutter line of kitchen extension roof - this is currently fine - however, if i get a 1.2m - im thiking the extra size will give me problems when going far east (only) as the kitchen roof is angled up at the point the dish starts to twist for east sats..
I think at this point a few photos of your set up would help us give advice..
