might sound like dumb question,my reciever shows 000.0 to enter longitude digits ,so to enter -5.352w would that look like this 005.3w.

you might need to enter them as 354.64.

the first digit would only go in as a 0 or a 1 for some reason(reciever is a digiquest 8000sci)

Some coordinates are expressed as three figures, working Eastwards from 0 degrees all the way around to 360 degrees, so 1W would be 359 degrees.

In your case it must work as a three digit number either side of 0, so your will be 005.35W.
