USB > CAT5 extenders?

I've been thinking about how to overcome the losses in the 34m of coax from the 1.8m as it's noticeable at the top end of the band, I did consider remoting the PC card up the top of the garden in a small form factor box and streaming via VLC but that becomes a pain in Crazyscan and makes it tricky to use anything other than specific software. Brainwave this morning was to fix a USB sat rx on the dish itself, the Prof 7500 fits the bill rather well but I need to get the USB signal 35m back to the PC here. USB can be extended to about 10m with a powered hub half way but these Maplin convertors say they will go to 50m, ideal and I've loads of CAT5e cable here but so cheap alarm bells are ringing.
 
Not tried one, but occasionally use the HDMI over CAT5 and they work well, so no reason why they shouldn't.
 
We use loads of similar things at work to connect the teachers computers to the smartboards at the front of the room. For that sort of application they work fine
 
34 metres of something like CT167 (and the connectors) would be far better value for you.
 
I know what you are saying CH but there's been a few times where a sat rx on the laptop would have been useful so this might be a convinient excuse to buy one. I need to do some homework first as a lot of these extenders are USB2 compliant but run at 1.1 speed so I need to see what the Prof's actually require. Seen some good prices for CT125RBS online but nothing for CT167 so far.
