I got a cheap DVB mpeg2 reciever from a friend last week, he wanted me to add all transponders and organize a channel list(he is very affraid of technical things). I succefully searched all channels on Astra 19.2 for him BUT as I wanted to change the name of a channel the reciever wouldn't let me! How bad can i be? There are Radio channels that now are named "Unnamed", it is really BAD, and hard to find the right radio channel from about 30 different ones with the same name?

The reciever is called "Skymaster DXL 9200", if you are about to buy one, do it for the excelent picture quality, there is no other reason, I'll stick with my humax until I see some good reports on the dreambox.

Thanks for reading.

It's not possible to change the name of a channel on any Sky digibox either. Or to even re-sequence the channels. Yet no-one ever complains about that (er, except me...) and the boxes are held up to be state-of-the-art.

Yes, but its Ruperts Art. ;)

I've now been playing around in the recievers menu for 3 hours just to learn how to manually add a channel. I have now come to the conclusion: Never buy a Skymaster DVB reciever. I've never seen a worse menu system and users manual.

I doubt very much its any worse than the first Irdeto machines, the Pace DVB series, nor the Panasat 540
