As I think most of you know I am refurbishing the system over here and have reinstall the replacement corotor with new Lnbs and have now got a good Q + Signal however this is on my Satllink meter 7009 so the dish end is fine .The problem is when I plug the same plug into the Echostar is show Zero on a TP scan ? Satellite being used to cal receiver is Astra 4A / Sirius 4 . Now we all know the AD-3000 only receives MP2 but before on the old quad band LNB it was able to to show me Q + Signal levels on H 12.303 channels like Bootstrap Maste , Discovery Hung , CNBC J Leno , Universal TV , Optimistic TV , Disc_Italy Test and TCM Cartoon all these channels are powerVu encrypted but you could still see there Q + Signal so it was useful for tweaks on skew and dish position but now I have fitted the new SMW LNB I get Zero signal or Q on a TP search . So I dont know if I need to make any changes on the software settings on the receiver at the moment its set for Type 3 which should be for a quad band LNB same setting it was for the old quad band Lnb so it should work on the receiver . So I will take some pictures showing the dish install page and Lnb settings + what I am getting on the sat meter . Maybe I may have blown the fuse on the RX so I may have lost my 18 volts form the receiver I will check that the LNB has power at dish I do have a spare Echostar so could use that .( Checked we have 18 volts ) You may remember I bought that Technomate TM-5402 but that has no dish or skew control . The whole point of keeping the Echostar online was so I can use that for dish + skew control other wise its back to buying a second hand ADC1 So any thoughts anyone on why this SMW Lnb is not working with the AD-3000IP ? Yes I could bolt back the old Quad band Lnb but I dont see any reason why the SMW wont work with this receiver as it works fine on the sat meter yes I know the Satllink meter does receive Mpeg 2 + 4 But as I said I should see Q + Sig levels on the Echostar and I am not . So I am not why I am no longer showing any Signal or Q on the Echostar since I changed over the LNB unless its got some thing to do with LNB settings but as you can see settings are at Lnb 3 same as the previous quad band Lnb . If the settings are ok then the only option is to change out the Echostar or return back to the old LNB . Any thoughts from any one ?
