I have a load of VHS tapes just laying around in me cupboard that i want transfering to DVD, the trouble is, quite a few of them are now pretty shakey in picture - (meaning, the picture bounces) the tracking doesn't seem to help on the VCR either, when i try to copy them to dvd the parts where it bounces, the dvd recorder skips out that bit, when i come to play the dvd, parts of the recording isn't there... can anybody help me out on this, any ideas??

I am using a Philips DVD Recorder DVDR70 and the VCR I'm using is a Philips 6 head Nicam Stereo VCR, I also have a Sanyo Nicam Stereo VCR as well and thats pretty much the same..

Cheers,

Other than the tracking, which you've tried nothing comes readily to mind.
