va 227 badr 7 26e

Mission success - both sats safely delivered into orbit.

This rather nice graphic shows Gsat15 passing over India prior to release from the composite

West Africa one looks interesting.

badr 7 27.5 e

That will be the usual "overshoot" as the tracking sites take a couple of days to catch up with manoeuvred satellites. It will jump back to 26E when the tracking catches up.

First test carrier for the Badr 7 at 26°E, frequencies 11270 H and 11310 H

William, any luck in Essex?

No this transponder is on the very tight Pan Arab beam so no reception in the East of England even with a very big dish :(

So we know that some of the test transmissions can be received here in the UK but Badr-7 also has some very tight beams like Badr-5 & 6,
Time will tell what we end up with when they decide to move 1 or 2 satellites from here to 34 east & other locations.

I did get a couple of transponders on Badr 5 on my 1.5m Gibby and a lot of Badr 6 were just under luck, so hoping a 1.8m will bring them in.

Like you say, can only wait and see how much overspill Badr 7 will have. Let's hope it's not a complete pig like Nilesat 201 or Es'hail...

Thanks for that 'W' respect-048.gif ..........seems we are ok here.

1.2m dish, Badr 7 reception showing the same strength as Badr 5:-

As expected not a tiny fragment of signal in Northern Greece too! I wonder how big the dish needs to be! I receive some Badr6 frequencies during the night and 11227 from Badr5 only!

Slovenia, 1.2m Laminas...if this is really Badr 7 then it should stay like that :)..
Signal level cca the same as on Badr5. Badr 6 still the weakest in my area, but still some trp are receivable...
