The tracking for the runaway derelict so we can keep an eye on where shes heading (currently near 25W at the end of April)

Current position of Intelsat 29e is 27.063 East

Lucky it has missed the European satellites on the arc so far more by luck than judgment so the other satellites on the arc must be making evasive movements to avoid a collision,

Moved from 25 west to 28 east in 8 weeks heading to the America's part of the arc 3 weeks from now.

INTELSAT 29E (IS-29E) 27.062 East 170 hour predicted satellite tracking data

Intelsat 29e seems to be a few miles above where most of the other broadcast birds are - the geostationary ones Ive looked at are currently in the range 22,220 to 22,235 miles. Its possible that outgassing during the breakup has shunted 29e up 10 miles or so.

I predict in a few years the big operators will be paying space tug operators to get these runaways out of the way off the geostationary orbital plane to avoid possible collisions.

29e is heading back into European skies - currently at about 45W & decreasing fairly rapidly.
