Drive the motor all the way to the limit switch then click the inner cam round a notch or two so it is no longer touching the limit switch. Keep doing that until the motor goes as far round to the west as you need.

how far can the motor go as i wouldn't mind getting 58west.

thankyou for your reply as the sheet that came with the motor really is rubbish.

also i'm wondering if my 1224 was made by someone thinking it was going to be the version with inclinde orbit motor, as the limit must have been set really short

Ok, mine came with the limits set really tight too. The motor is H2H though so from there you should be able to aim at anything between 72ºE and 75ºW.

another update got home from work and got the ladder out and it was the limit on the west side so moved the cog further around.

i now can get around to 58west , the bt tower a signal comes in very well

so the vbox isn't faulty, it was triggering the e-2 error as the west limit on the 1224 had been hit.

didn't think a diseqc motor would move a channel master dish as that's what i have on the motor at the moment.
