To see if we can figure out some sort of reception map for the Balkan beam used by the Vivacom transmissions on 13E European members please post your reception reports in this thread

We need your location (a nearby town is near enough), dish size, and an idea if you have no reception at all / marginal reception / good reception

Most of the UK seems to be out of reach using any sized dish so Im not expecting any successful reception reports from here.

110cm Triax, marginal reception, location Vaasa. 180cm good reception. Similar reports from southern Finland (generally more than 1m required in Finland)

120cm Laminas Location ( near Bamberg north Bavaria Germany) good reception 12,1dB

180 cm Laminas
50 km South of Milan in Northern Italy
Good reception in H (14,5 dB , on the edge in V (9 dB )
But since i played with LNB skew in the last days i have to verify why V is on the edge.

Carcassonne South France ,very near Greenwich meridian,43.2 N & 2.34E
i got the 2 folk programs from Bulgaria. they seem to work better with less heat & also at night.

Belgium.
On a 0.8m dish 12616H 10.1dB
And on wavefrontier T90 on 12616H: 10.4dB

On a 0.8m dish 12616H 8dB (no lock)
And on wavefrontier T90 on 12635V: 9.4dB

The signals are marginal but they lock on the wavefrontier

OK Ive made a start on the map link is here

Code:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=14iMmJ1HBZ_TXd1uIraCs7cWLsgrj-QA&usp=sharing

Map legend is this:

up to 1m --> green
1m - 1.49m --> pale blue
1.5 - 1.99m --> yellow
2m - 2.49m --> purple

a star on the pin means no reception
a tick means good or marginal reception.

I may change things a little over the next few days but its a start.

Feel free to share the link with other satellite guys but Im not chasing round other forums compiling reports so if you do get any interest please copy their results here. :)

Even from the dozen or so pins on the map aleady its obvious there must be a hellish steep drop off at the beam edge. Marginal reception on a T90 in Belgium & nothing at all on a 2.4m in Bristol.

This map relies on your reports lads so anyone anywhere with info please post your details. Every bit of data helps us see the pattern - even negative reports

Malta: City Valletta

1mtr good reception on all Freqs - H is a little weaker (9.75db) whilst V over 11db
1.2 Dish higher Dbs (about 1.5 more)
1.5 Dish naturally better signal on all channels, but here the H are more stronger
than the V. ( 13.25 For V. 14 and over for H)

It's 1.8m in Bristol - 2.4m is a pipe dream for now

Not a peep on a 90cm dish in Cheltenham/Glos, as you'd expect though - not that far from Bristol here!

There's the double whammy of the seemingly steep drop off, and 8PSK 5/6 requiring 9.4dB of C/N to lock!

Nothing seen at 2.45pm UK on the labelled 'South East' beam listed channels - 2.2 mtr PF 17k North of the City of Nottinham UK.
Will try later in the evening.

At 30 km from Luxembourg City, with 98 cm dish, good reception

12616 H = 12.3 dB (DW news)

12635 V = 11.8 dB (BNT4, City TV, France 24)

12654 H = 12.1 dB (Evrocom, Фолклор ТВ)

12673 V = 11.7 dB (History not FTA)

12673 V = 12.3 dB (TV1, TV5 Monde)

From the Netherlands (5.5°E 51.8°N) with 1,2 m Laminas and Dr.HD F16:
12616H, 12654H and 12713V all 12.0 dB
12635V, 12673V both 11.5 dB, with 12635V unstable and losing lock sometimes, local interference I suppose.

180 cm Laminas
50 km South of Milan in Northern Italy
Good reception in H (14,5 dB , on the edge in V (9 dB )
But since i played with LNB skew in the last days i have to verify why V is on the edge.
Rechecked after skew fine tuning:

12616 H : 15.3 dB
12635 V : 11,0 dB
12654 H : 14,2 dB
12673 V : 10,1 dB
So all frequencies locks and no signal drop for 10 minutes.

@Analoguesat : feel free to update your map with my new result (BTW, the nearest city from my hometown is Pavia)

Wait, it's old (bloating) PSU capacitors again that cause this, notably on some 8PSK transponders.
With a MHz up or down this transponder is stable at almost 12 dB.

Here is my reception and that of some friends:

The Netherlands, near Rotterdam: no signal om 120cm Channel Master.
All weather conditions 24h/day.

The Netherlands, Eindhoven, wheather: clowdy.
Wavefrontier T55 with Inverto Black Ultra LNB:
12616 H 11,1 dB
12636 V 0,0 dB (sometimes signal, but low)
12654 H 11,2 dB
12713 V 11,3 dB
12673 V 10,5 dB

Triax 1,1 meter, with Inverto normal LNB:
12616 H 12,6 dB
12636 V 12,4 dB
12654 H 12,8 dB
12713 V 12,5 dB
12673 V 12,7 dB

The Netherlands, Amsterdam
All frequencies good reception on Wavefrontier T90.

The Netherlands, Assendelft
No reception on Visiosat Big Bisat (91x70), LNB in center.

The Netherlands, Groningen
App. 10 dB reception with 80cm, but not very stable.

North Spain, Ponferrada, León
No reception with 100 cm.
