I've used Firefox for quite a while now but recently changed over to Chrome. I quite like it and I think it is significantly quicker. However, I can't get it to stream the VU+ using VLC player. It can't find the VU+ in my network. I know it's not the stb as it streams fine with Firefox. I can't find much info about a VLC plugin either. Help anyone?

Grrr ............... wasted hours this week trying to get acquainted with VLC.

Followed all the apparently simple destructions to get Laptop to stream eg DVD to Netbook without success.

Server (Laptop) appears to work and I can even get a Web Interface on my Netbook to control it ....................... But I cannot see or hear a dicky-bird on the Netbook!

That's no help to you, I'm afraid - but at least I've got it off my chest!

Pleased to have been of service LOL......I take it you have allowed the file on your laptop to be shared....or can you not get VLC to work on the netbook?

The VLC on the Netbook won't capture the stream - using the same (fixed) IP for the Laptop as the fully functioning Web Interface does (And acknowledging the difference between the required Ports ie 8080 for the Interface and 1234 or 5004 depending upon which protocol I use)

I've tried Streaming CD, DVD and Server sends it ok (as far as I can tell) but Client VLC refuses to see it. Keeps telling me it can't connect - but the IP is right and as I said, the Web Interface works using the very same IP.

I'll get there in the end!
