Hello everyone
I'm just about to order a VU+ Ultimo (triple tuner model) and I just want to check this is the most appropriate model and it will do what I think it will do.
Basically, I have a multi sat setup consisting of 4 discreet dishes located on a balcony on the top floor of my property. I know I would be better off with a bigger dish with multiple LNBs but I'm in a listed building and everything I have at the moment is so small that it's invisible to anyone outside the property. I did have a wave frontier for a few months but I had to take it down, which was a shame as it took me ages to get right.
I have one selfsat with a quad lnb pointing at W3C and I have three receivers running Total TV from Serbia, Digitalb from Kosovo and Tring from Albania, though nowadays I'm only realy interested in Total TV. I have a second Selfsat pointing at 28.2 connected to a freesat box. The third selfsat is pointed at 7e and is running a digiturk box. The fourth Selfsat is pointing at hotbird 13 with nothing attached.
My objective is to run TotalTV, Digiturk and Freesat on the VU, via three separate feeds. Of course Total TV and Digiturk have active subscriptions and I would need to insert the viewing cards into the VU. I also have active subscriptions on Digitalb and Tring though I'm not really bothered about them. I will motorise one of the selfsats (I only just found out it's possible to motorise a selfsat) and run hotbird and 28.2 from the same dish.
I also have a collection of loop throughs which are cabled for different rooms in the house. I'm assuming I can feed three lnb feeds into the VU, though I'm not sure about how many loop throughs a VU can handle.
Any comments would be appreciated.
I would add that I hardly ever watch tv, is this a usual affliction in this hobby ?
Thanks
Steve
