Right now some of the Al Jazeera package is on AB4A so 1.2m is not going to be enough. My AJ card stopped working with the switch to Viaccess 4.

garyg, have you got a decent meter to align the dish up to 26e. Use the transponders on 26e that has the football on to best align the dish up. something like a satlook micro etc will be good to do this about 250 pound.

I'm pretty sure that you will get badr6. I have tried it on a 1.2m dish and it was very very close to getting a good enough signal

Ah good info mate, maybe il just remove the old pole and use my 60cm on the wall for 13e then

Well Rolf on here the admin is my installer, he doesnt even charge me a quarter of that price to allign my dishes so I will probly use him as I only need him once or twice every few years, unless theres major wind etc.

But I will take note and see if its worth my while

yeah just thought you might want to compare the signal strengths between 26e & 7west etc but once its sorted you will be fine with those walls around the dish for shelter.

Once its dried i will level out the ground. get the dish on. Make some securing brakets on the pole/dish and re turf my garden so its nice for summer

This will be done as said above mate I will fabricate a mount that bolts to the dish and wall, and also something under neath once I have signal tested and know if its good or not.

I will also have 3 bars welded to the pole and then on the ground to stop pole movement.

This is just the first day of erecting the pole I cannot do much more until the concrete sets now
