Wanted chaparral skew motor

I do have a OMT from SMW with M4 thread .
the O ring has a ID 27.3 x 1.9 mm
same set fits in a Echostar LNB

Thanks Trust Thats funny one set of drawings show M3 and the other M4 , I have emailed a few people so hope to find out what they are but it all standards WR75 flange , I may not have to use them if I can get the old ones out but from past experience they will shear off . I wont be using the old corotor or old LNB so best I leave it all together . Because if it shears off I will need a pillar drill to drill it out then retap the hole so best I find some new screws . Depth of screws seems to be 5.2 and O ring size seems to be ok . Yes I would think it would be the size for all WR75 Flange LNBs .

Well I spoke to soon the O ring that came with the screws and the Ku LNB the other day its to large , I would have thought a WR75 flange would be standard but its clear that its not as you can see from the pictures .

I'm sure I mentioned similar in a previous post.

Still, you have a nice LNB for a tenner.

Hi CH yes about to make a start and I find out that the LNB that came with a O ring and set of screws is the wrong size I thought that WR75 flange O rings were all the same size . Anyway its being returned tomorrow as I want a O ring and a set of screws I may have to do what you said and use the old ones thats if I can get the old screws out without shearing them off .

Use some quality penetrating fluid and leave for a week, the corotor bolts are Torx from memory so buy a good quality tool that fits perfectly with the tenner you might get back.

Yes your thinking the same as me remove the elbow with my Torx screw driver after lots of penetrating fluid , I did buy a replacement corotor from one of the other forum members but I want to get this old LNB off first then try the SMW one to confirm the SMW is ok . As for that Free Ku LNB with its O ring and screws its on its way tomorrow back to Hypex the other firm selling the O ring and screw set wanted £6.00 plus £24.00 postage .

Rubbing in with grease , butter or vasaline that ring let slip it in the groove when tightning the screws

Sorry but the O ring is a few mm to large for that so I have boxed it all up and it will be returned tomorrow . I would have bought the other Kit for £6 but the PP was £24.00 .

Very easy & cheap to buy pretty much any size of O ring on ebay - just search for what you want!

Well I think its a 28.5 diameter as for the gauge I have no idea .

Good Morning Rimants yes please send me a O ring as far as I can see its 28.5 O ring as far as the screws go there 4mm as for depth 4.1 . with a bit of luck I might finish this project but its clear that the UK has very little dealers who deal with these items these days . The dealer does not want the LNB , O ring and screws back in his words he told me to dump it so if any one wants a free LNB let me know .

Ok guys just returned from the back garden and gave the LNB screws a good spray of WD sorry but I dont have any other to use .On my first attempt the screws are seized solid but I will give it a go tomorrow and see how we get on .

Skew motor is also seized solid was going to remove the motor from the corotor but only one screw is free the others are seized solid so if I cant move them its Plan B . Use the replacement Corotor and load that up with the replacement LNBs on that .

As for the old corotor I think that will have to go down the local engineering firm and they may have to drill and retap . As for the O ring and screw size just had a reply from SMW .

Thank you for your email.

The O-Ring dimension shall be: 26.7x1.78 mm (Conductive)

Mounting screws are: 4pcs M4 x 10mm (Millimeter screws)

Best regards / Med vänlig hälsning

So its slow but we are getting there . Many thanks to Satfaca for the Corotor .

Just when you thought every thing was ready to go we have a new problem the replacement Corotor does not have a Ku band elbow . So I need to find a find a replacement elbow from a old corotor or just find a Ku band Elbow , Any thoughts ?

Or drill out the holes on the flange on the corotor so a screw will pass through and cut down the screw length so you can screw in from under the flange . 2 are ok but the other 2 with need to be cut down a few mm , Any thoughts ?
