Wanted- Dr Hd F15

The Doctor is in the house. I'd like to thank Kveys for the link to the site and Alexey, whom I dealt with, was a gentleman.

Excellent - we look forward to your reports over the next few weeks :)

I look forward to it. It only took a couple of minutes to change the language from Russian to English and from Pal to Ntsc. Now it's time to insert my satellite list from 5-127w.

I managed to get the language from Russian to English and from Pal to Ntsc. I flashed it with the 125p file, which all dxers in Europe are using with this receiver even though there have been numerous updates. North American satellite list from 5-127w is in and good to go. I've only started but this receiver is giving me great vibes and the menu is nothing like the D15 at all. Many posts to follow.

Welp, I ordered one too :D

Alexey has two more F15s (possibly last ones) to sell...

From what I have seen in less then a day, you made the right choice.

Never did understand why they stopped making the F15 after such a relatively short production run..
Obviously popular ..and imo one of the best DX boxes ever made ..
When your onto a winning formula ..why change it

Bought one myself as well. To be send from Finland on Tuesday.

Just a quick question. Is there any way to edit the F15 frequency scan? Most c band sats in my neck of the woods are 3700-4200 on c band and 11700-12200 for ku band. Blind scanning without being able to alter these numbers really increases the scan time.

Sure there is. Just go down to the frequency range field and press a number. It will come up with an edit box to enter start and end frequency.

Thanks CJ, that will save me some time. This box has passed all tests I have thrown at it and is a keeper. Blind scan isn't as fast as the D15 or X2 but accuracy and tuner sensitivity are no match for this receiver with the tm 5302 a close second.

Is anyone interested in a very small group buy of 3 units of the F15, I have been given a price of 325€ (euro) delivered to the UK for three units.
Obviously if I needed to post them on to other addresses in the UK there would be an additional cost or they could be collected.

Rgds

How different is the receiver to the Dr HD D15?

It's a universal satellite receiver so it will receive channels from any satellite.

Errrrr, no.

Errrrr, no.

Doesn't that just mean it's a generic receiver and not one that is limited like a Sky box?

No comparison at all. The F15 will find everything up there even with only a 3 db reading. The blind scan is faster on the D15 but it's lacking in tuner sensitivity.
