Watching Encrypted Channels irdeto2

I am a new in dreambox world. I bought dm8000 and it is still in its original state i.e I havn't flash any images rather than the original installed in the factory, but downloaded and installed the plugins shown in the Plugins Download of the main menu and even not fixed hard disk or DVD.
Now I want to watch encrypted channels of ART, ShowTime, Orbit .... etc. broadcast via Nile Sat and Arab Sat using legal smart cards from the providers. As the encryption system used in these channels is irdeto2, and I realize that the built in card reader is in dm8000 is dreamcrypt, then what are the stuff I need to watch these channels (hardware, software, plugins ....,etc)?
Your advise would much appreciated.
 
Should work in the card slot with cccam 2.0.11 in an image where you can download that EMU, such as Nabilosat E2 BH.

Do you mean that I should flash my box with Nabilosat E2 BH image and install cccam 2.0.11 EMU, after that I can insert an irdeto smart card into the existing built-in card reader slot to watch the crypted channels?
And no need for a hardware (irdeto2 CAM) to be inserted into a CA slot?
 
The factory installed image is very limited. Any image developed by a team unlocks the true potential of a Dreambox. So yes, to get the most from your box flash it with a popular image. As Llew says, the best image around at the moment is Nabilo Sat blackhole currently in V0.9. Once you have this image installed in flash it gives you many tools to install plugins, emu's etc. Using this image you can install CCcam and it will read your card with no other changes needed. You can even use the default CCcam config if you just want to view the channels for yourself.

It is obvious to me now that no need to buy and use a new hardware irdeto2 CAM to insert into CA slot.

I am appreciating much your reply as valuable assistance to me.
 
Multiboot require insallation of Nabilosat Pure Flash with Barry Allen.
Instruction of installing Nabilosat Pure Flash tell to install it to flash memory.
What is meaning of flash memory? Is it the internal flash memory built in the box? or the external add on memory (USB stick, CF, SD modules, Hard disk)?
 
Yes flash memory refers to the onboard memory in the Dreambox.
Do you have any specific reason to multiboot ?

If not I'd stick to installing BH09 into your flash.
 
When you use the card reader, insert the smartcard with the chip down, select CCcam from the blue button, then shutdown the receiver and start it again.
If the channels don't open, then check if the card/cards have a default PIN number and reset it to [0000] using a receiver that has Irdeto support (borrow an Irdeto CAM or ask a friend who has a dedicated Irdeto receiver like for Showtime).
 
B16MCC: I really don't have specific reason for multiboot except exploring the advantage of every image available and using different plugins of each, as I mentioed before, I am new guy in dreambox world.

HB13DISH: I am not aware if the card have default PIN or not as I use it in Humax receiver by inserting it to its built-in Irdeto2 card reader and it works immediatly with no previous preparation or entering any number or code. Does that mean the card havn't default PIN number?

If CCcam doesn't recognize the card, then it is probably due to the PIN number. In the meantime don't change it.
 
I am trying to use ART (irdeto2) card on NileSat in my dreambox 8000 through the built-in card reader along with Cccam 2.1.3 but couldn't receive any of its encrypted channel !! Why? is there any setting should be done to enable reading this card?
The box recognize the card and its data appear in the Cccam info entitlements tab but no video or sound for any encrypted channel can be seen.
Your kind advise please

just 14 hours ago. Its Christmas here in Europe and many of the members are enjoying some holiday time with their families. Many members wont be around for a few days so give it at least a week before asking again.
