Weird Black Ultra Failure

Never really been that happy with my IBU twin and quads. None have failed but they don't seem as sensitive as the single on my setups. I do like the Opticum LQP 04H quad though and have a couple of them in use.

A bit of research leads me to believe that there is a good probability Inverto and Galaxy Inovations are both sellers of lnbs manufactured by x-square technology http://www.x2sat.com/.
It wouldn't upset me to be proved wrong though and if there is an lnb that definitely out performs the IBU single in fringe areas I'd love to here about it.A while ago there were suggestions that the Opticum twin was better,I tried one it wasn't.

I've certainly had a couple of IBU failures in the past. One of them possibly through heat build up and another that drifted off frequency at times. I've tried others and whilst I found the Opticum to be better at certain frequencies, overall it wasn't as good. Willing to try the GI (or whatever it's branded as) as soon as I get time to experiment LOL....

No, but by coincidence that is identical to the one I found in my spares box and fitted yesterday.

The twin version is 0.1dB (claimed!), and is, I think, this one

UNIVERSAL TWIN LNB GI-202 PLATINUM X, 01 dB. Full HD, 3d-ready GOLDEN INTERSTAR

Milamber said above the GI doesn't mean Golden Interstar nowadays, but I reckon the one I linked to is the same as the one he recommends. Soon find out when the smoke signals rise from Spain .....

Oh, and something else odd has come to light.

My motor was sometimes reluctant to move unless an H target was selected. Not really a problem, just a foible.

Since the IBU failed, I've tried two other LNBs and the motor issue has gone.

Golden Interstar Lnb
The one sold in Germany looks different to the one on sale in the UK is the one sold in the UK as good as the one sold in Germany because it looks like they are from different Factory's.

That ain´t the one, it does not have a drop down weather cover and is a different colour.
The one I like is the GI 212 E ( As in Star Trek the next generation )
Much nicer colours, drop down weather shield etc, but could possibly have the same guts in it. Perhaps a rich satellite enthusiast could buy one of each to compare them?
For now, here are some pics of the one I mean, also a pic of the box it comes in. Does not state on the box where it is made. Web site address on the bottom of the box, which I believe may have a link to the site in Russia, but in case it does not

Thanks, BP.

Gosh this is confusing.

So many with similar type numbers and designations, yet all different.

Head coming to a rolling boil soon.

The drop down cover on the Lnb the post above has not been extended,

Another different type as well I wonder how many version of the Golden Interstar Lnb there are & which are the genuine one's ?

GI Galaxy Innovations from Spain is not a Golden Interstar just looks a bit like one.

I left the cover up so you could see the difference between the lnb´s better.

Have to add, Galaxy Innovations ES sold off a load of Golden Interstar and Big Sat stuff a while ago and I believe they still have some old stuff in the warehouse somewhere.

Cannot see your image, but the Galaxy is different to the one William posted
I was struggling with the image but it is showing now

Here's what becomes the IBU once the label is attached.
