WeirdHDMI extender behaviour

I have a Sky HD box on which I get free sat programmes. The Sky box has an HDMI cable connected to an externally powered HDMI extender box which splits the signal; HDMI to the TV1 and Cat6e ethernet to the second box of the system which converts to HDMI at TV2. The ethernet cable is 10m long. Channel changes work via an integrated IR magic eye, part of theHDMI extender system. Everything works OK.

Except..

Whenever I stand up, or even move on my seat, the picture on TV2 goes blank for a second, then resumes.

I am sitting on a sofa approx 3m from TV2. My wife, next to me, can get up without affecting the picture.

The signal to TV2 is HDMI/ethernet cable all the way, no WiFi or other radio signal. Nothing I do has any effect on this. I don't understand why my movement affects a cabled signal. I am not near any electrical or signal cables.

Has anyone experienced or heard of this?

The HDMI extender is as follows;

That's certainly an odd one, does it happen wherever you are sitting and similarly if your wife sits where you normally sit? It sounds like a very short power disruption, or cable disconnection. I did have issues on a similar extender, where the setting on the launch unit was switched to high on a short cable run and the signal was unstable, but can't see how someone getting up from a chair could change anything, unless perhaps it's an electric recliner, or the cable runs under the carpet where the chair is.

Thanks for your reply.
Most people think I'm winding them up! I'm not!
When setting the HDMI extender up I initially used Cat5e cable but the picture dropped out every 5 mins.
I upgraded to Cat6e cable and everything worked fine.
Then I stood up.
The extender notes state that Cat5e cable will work OK over 10m.
The sofa is a recliner, but not electric (Stressless).
The extender is securely fixed to the TV stand.
The TV is 1m away from any elect or signal sockets.
Cables are not stretched or stressed.
My wife & I haven't swapped seats. I'll try that.
I'll also try to get a video of the event.
 
The IR extender is located where? Inline with were your seating? You could be getting an IR reflection off something around your seating location, the IR extender might have a 180 degree out of phase signal rejection circuit, and when you stand or move it blocks that 180 degree signal momentarily, this may cause a problem with the signals from/to the extender. (wild guess)

Can you as a test move the extender a bit to the left, right or up, down?

I have in the past had problems with this type of equipment, getting a IR reflection off a glass table, glass doors in a cabinet or picture glass in a frame disrupting the signals from the remote to the TV.

Moving the extender helped or fixed the problem.

The extender is fixed to the back of the TV stand, I sit in front of the TV, probably directly opposite. I will try moving the extender. Up, down, rotated. I'll try anything.
I've no problem with the signal from the (Sky) remote.
