I have been successfully running my QboxHD mini with SatStation image, Enigma and OScam 5964, with C lines (converted from CCcam) working fine.

Just getting into this a bit more and was wondering what EMUs are and KEYs? I have come across many postings in forums relating to EMUs and key updaters (SatAngels) for example. Despite hours of googling I'm none the wiser. Hopefully someone can explain please.

Thanks

Well the key is the decryption code. Few channels in Europe are still available on keys - you missed the great days of most of the pay tv services being open by 5 years!

The emu is a softcam in the receiver.

Ah, I see.
I actually was around in analogue days when we programmed gold cards for what was then bskyb.
The keys were posted on the net.
I didn't know that was still going on. Wow
Thanks for the clarification

The new encryptions are far more secure these days, and the days of entering keys onto cards are long gone.

Yes, nowadays it is usually done with a key updater which downloads it directly to the box.

Of course today it is all about card sharing, but there are still quite a few things to watch with a qbox and a motor: RGS 13east with Radar cam, Bulsat, ORF, Zee, Rai with Mgcamd and C+ NL with Fausto on your computer and MGcamd on the box. There are a few more but they change daily. Still having fun with it :)

Thanks guys
Although I have to take the 5th amendment on what T_G is saying , as I havent got a clue what you are referring to pal? Sorry.

OK, where did you ge the software from that is on your box now? DId you install the Oscam yourself?

probably doesnt matter , cos I dont have a motor - just static to 28.2E
all works fine using a PS at £5 per month for all channels on the transponders.
not bad.

ANY discussion whatsoever of pay servers is strictly forbidden on this forum. Especially where Sky UK is involved. We are a UK based forum and any suggestion we allow discussion of ways to defraud them of their legitimate subscription income could get us closed down.

Do not mention them again or your account may be suspended.

To be blunt anyone using a pay server is a fool - you dont know who is running it - could be an organise crime syndicate looking for a new income source for all you know
