If anyone on here could tell me what sats I could expect to pick up in Addis Ababa it would be appreciated.

Already have a post on what equipment to get, just need to know whats available (UK sky would be good :eek:) only joking.

with a 120cm offset dish that i suggest to you for a stable reception . i recommend nilesat at 7W. some good english movie channels and arabic sport channels.you have also other option like badr 26E,all its channels are on nilesat.you also have
-sirius4 at 4.8E african beam (12605V29950,most of them french speaking channels)
-nss 12 at 57E east african beam(need smaller dish(90cm) kenyan tvs and uganda.
-turksat3A east at42E. you have an interesting txp(11054H30000) english movies on E2 and cnbc after 6PM. you also have sports on ntv sport and sometimes on ntv.
-if you can add a motor on that dish than you can get all of them and may be other more.
-for payable package,you have 36E with multychoice africa. i'm sure you can get a card there in addis.
interesting package bcz you have the basic channels you find in all the european packages.
