i often see the word "EMU" in many forum,

such as emu software ,non emu software ,

what does emu means???
can anybody tells me ??

It's software that EMUlates the encryption systems of the satellite provider, so you don't need to use a dedicated CAM or smartcard to view an encrypted channel.
