I have a tecnomate 1500CI+ with double LNB allowing me to receive both astra and hotbird

Just put it into the receiver slot. IF its genuine it should clear the picture.

Just seen you only have CI slots. You need to put the card into a cam, and then the cam into the CI slot. Or if your receiver has an embedded cam, although I doubt your tecnomate has one.

The thing is, i am still waiting to receive it, but i bought it on ebay, so i guess they might have changed the code since then. However, i got a site with the keys, i think, but i don't know how to enter them, never done it before!

Thanks

Nico

PS: My receiver has both card slot and cam slot. What does the cam actually do? And what's the difference between tem all?

The cam is the interface between your reciever and the card, this makes your receiver adaptable to many different (cards) encryption systems.
The only thing you can do until you get your receiver is read forum posts. There are many receiver - card - cam combinations, not everything is compatable.First step is get your receiver and see what you need then to get it in order for the encryptions you require.
